Where we began
Introduction
Intellidemia was founded on the vision of founders Judd Rattner and Edward Levie in 2007. What had started as a class project grew and remains the inspiration of Intellidemia: to provide educational professionals with the information and technology tools necessary to streamline educational processes.
Past
The ideas and thoughts that led to Intellidemia trace back with Chief Executive Officer Judd Rattner. In 2004, Judd had introductory thoughts about the creation of time management and scheduling software for educational institutions but the idea was not expanded upon. It wasn't until late 2006 when a number of educational professionals called for a pitch of technologies like those that Intellidemia would come to offer. Edward Levie joined as the original developer of the technology and with Judd would become a founding member of the team. After help from numerous advisors and a strong support network, Intellidemia, Inc was founded in March 2007.
Present
After two years of development, significant expansion of market knowledge, and a great beta response, Concourse was launched in July 2009 as the world's first commercial syllabus solution. Concourse is becoming the standard for electronic syllabus management. Concourse goes beyond being only a syllabus creator and supports valuable applications across the entire educational value chain. The platform is now used for administrative needs, such as assessment and accreditation reporting, instructional uses like curriculum development and improvement, and students purposes such as time management.
Future
Intellidemia remains strongly rooted in its original vision of empowering educators with easy-to-use tools that streamline processes in higher education. The response from our first customers has already given us further validation as to what a syllabus can truly become. We are actively working on breakthrough features that will bring new value and capabilities to the syllabus by making it the core of the educational process.
