The tools you'll need to get the job done
A plethora of technology platforms already exist to support the greening of a classroom, and their capabilities expand daily. In most cases, an online workflow can create a place where projects, tests, and homework can be completed, passed in, graded, and returned to the student from the comfort of one’s desk and with the absence of paper.
To the left, you can explore three commonly available educational platforms that you can use as an instructor to make your classroom more environmentally friendly. On each page, we will describe the essence of the platform, some of the specific tools that can be used to reduce paper usage, and touch upon the technological benefits and challenges of using these tools. Many of these platforms are likely available on your campus already, but to be sure, we suggest you contact your help desk.
Increasing your use of online teaching platforms reduces paper and ink, while overtime, dramatically reducing the environmental footprint of your courses.
