A Stress-free Solution to UNC 400.1.6 Syllabus Requirements

The University of North Carolina system recently revised Section 400.1.6 in the policy manual governing all 16 campuses to include new requirements for syllabi. This update requires all 16 UNC System campuses to provide syllabi in a publicly accessible, searchable platform no later than one week prior to the start of a term for all courses. It also includes guidelines for specific information that syllabi must include, such as basic course information, course descriptions and outcomes, required textbooks and materials, and assessment and policy information. 

With a deadline of Fall of 2026, this may feel like an impossible task to accomplish - but it’s not! You just need the right partner.
